Schedule of SBA School Bases Assessment Terms 2024. CONDUCT OF SCHOOL-BASED ASSESSMENTS: FIRST-TERM, MID-TERM AND END OF ACADEMIC YEAR
Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) profoundly acknowledges the support rendered by the CEOS-DEAs in the successful implementation of School Based Assessment (SBA) 2023.
It is pertinent to mention here that Assessment Policy Framework (APF) 2019 demands SBA at three terminal levels in an academic year.
It states that “considering April as the beginning of the academic year, students will be assessed in the month of September, December and March as first-term assessment, mid-term assessment and end of academic year assessment respectively”.
2. After the implementation of SBA at the terminal level from grades 1 to 8 and seeing the demand of APF, the PEC Commission in its 29th meeting held on 27th April, 2023 approved the conduct of First-term & Mid-term Assessments along with the end of academic year (terminal) assessment for SBA-2024 and onwards.
This will help teachers to assess and improve the weak learning areas of the students.
