Grant Of @100% Allowance On Initial Basic Pay. GRANT OF PUBLIC RELATIONS (PR) ALLOWANCE @100% ON INITIAL BASIC PAY OF BPS-2022. I am directed to refer to your letter No.SO.B&A(INF)1-14/2023(P-1) dated 11.09.2023 and to intimate that Finance Department in light of the approval of Provincial Cabinet in its meeting dated 09.08.2023 and subsequent approval of Chief Minister in terms of Section 23 of Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974, conveys its concurrence regarding grant of Public Relations (PR) Allowance @100% on initial basic pay of BPS-2022 in favor of the employees of Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) under grant No.PC21023(23-Miscellaneous Deptts)LQ-4237-Public Relations w.e.f. 09.08.2023.

Grant Of @100% Allowance On Initial Basic Pay

The said allowance will not be admissible to the following officers/official.

1. Officers/Officials under suspension.
2. Officers/Officials who have been made OSDs or who have been directed to report to the DGPR/Information & Culture Department on the charges of inefficiency/ misconduct or indiscipline.
3. When Officer/Official is on leave beyond 90 days, extra ordinary leave (without pay), study leave or training abroad.
4. In case, Executive Allowance or any other cadre specific allowance is admissible on a post, then there will be an option to choose either of one in terms of para-2(b) of Finance Department’s letter No.FD.SR.II/9-131/2020 dated 10.2022.
5. Officers employed on pay package other than national pay scale (contract, MP scales, etc.) are not entitled to this allowance.
6. This allowance will not be counted towards pension and commutation/gratuity.
