STI Internship Qualification & Merit Marks Criteria. STI Internship Program 2025 Punjab. The STI Internship 2025 Punjab announced by the School Education Department provides transparent and merit-based selection for School Teacher Interns (STIs). Every applicant will be evaluated on the basis of academic qualification, professional qualification, teaching experience, and interview marks.
The following qualification marks formula will be used for merit calculation in the STI Internship Program 2025 Punjab.
1. Academic Qualification Marks

| Intermediate | 15 Marks | 90%+ (Semester) or 80%+ (Annual) = 15 Marks | |
| Matric | 15 Marks | 90%+ (Semester) or 80%+ (Annual) = 15 Marks |
Marks are reduced proportionally for lower percentage ranges:

Level-2: 70–79% = 36 marks for Master, 13.5 for Bachelor, etc.

Level-3: 60–69% = 32 marks for Master, 12 for Bachelor.

Level-4: 50–59% = 28 marks for Master, 10.5 for Bachelor.

Level-5: 40–49% = 24 marks for Master, 9 for Bachelor.
2. Professional Qualification Marks
Candidates holding B.Ed. or M.Ed. degrees will receive 10 additional marks in the merit calculation.
3. Teaching Experience Marks
Fresh candidates are encouraged to apply; however, those with previous teaching experience may receive additional preference during merit ranking.
4. Interview Marks
Each candidate will be awarded up to 5 marks during the final interview stage based on communication skills, confidence, and subject knowledge.
