Mathematics: Focus on Core Domains

Mathematics requires extensive preparation across all grades. For example, Grade 1 focuses on Units 1 through 5, covering whole numbers, operation, and money. Grades 2 and 3 extend this to fractions, measurement, and time concepts. Furthermore, Grade 4 studies geometry and decimals. Grade 5 introduces units on perimeter, area, and volume.

Crucially, the syllabus for higher grades involves complex domains. Grade 6 covers four domains, including algebraic expressions and integers. Grade 7 requires mastery of ratio, proportion, and financial arithmetic. Finally, Grade 8 emphasizes real numbers, percentages, and systems of linear equations. Students must dedicate significant time to practicing these skills.

Key Content in English and Urdu

The English syllabus provides clear unit references for each grade. Grade 1 covers Units 1 to 5. Similarly, Grade 5 focuses on Units 1 to 10. Grade 8, in contrast, concentrates on Units 1 to 9. Teachers should cover all specified pages within these units. Likewise, the Urdu syllabus provides specific chapter numbers for all grades. These chapters cover the necessary grammar and literature components. Both language subjects require students to prepare for reading, writing, and comprehension assessments.

Social Studies, Science, and Islamic Studies

The SBA Combined Syllabus 2025-26 also details science and social studies content. GK/Science covers a wide range of topics across the lower grades. For example, Grades 1 to 4 need to study pages 1 to 9 of the textbook. Grade 6 covers Units 1 through 9. Additionally, Grade 7 Social Studies covers Units 1 through 5 of Geography and History.

Islamiyat and Ethics are also clearly outlined. Grades 1 and 2 cover Units 1 to 3. Grade 8, in comparison, focuses on Units 1 to 6. Tarjuma-ul-Quran-ul-Majeed (TQM) is listed with specific chapters for each grade from 1 to 8. Consequently, students must study the assigned verses and interpretations.

Computer Science and Examination Preparation

Computer Science starts officially from Grade 6. Grade 6 covers Chapters 1 through 6. Grades 7 and 8 both focus on Chapters 1 through 4. Ethics is assessed in Grades 1 to 8, covering Units 1 and 2.

This SBA Combined Syllabus 2025-26 is the official guide for the December assessments. Schools must ensure teachers cover all listed units and chapters. Students must also begin their revision based on this extended material. Timely preparation will ensure academic success in the merged Mid-Term SBA.
