Pay Monthly Allowance to Ph.Ds. Ordered by Govt.. The Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed the Sindh government to pay government officials with Ph.D. degrees a monthly payment of Rs. 25,000. Following a petition filed by Dr. Ali Abro, a two-judge jury comprised of Justice Irfan Saadat Khan and Justice Adnan Al Karim Memon delivered the verdict.

According to the court’s minutes, Dr. Abro’s petition showed that until recently, some government officials with Ph.D. degrees were paying in full while others received just Rs. 10,000.

After hearing the petition, the commission issued a written decision directing the government to pay a Rs. 25,000 allowance to all officers with a Ph.D. without prejudice.
The verdict mentions the provincial government’s Chief Secretary, who has been directed to provide a written summary to the SHC over the next 15 days.
